What's New at Training Center 533
ATTENTION APPRENTICES: In an attempt to avoid the holiday infection peak, we will be delaying the second-semester start by two weeks.
The new start date is the week of January 18. The semester schedule will be posted in a Blackboard class available to ALL apprentices on January 7. The course is called Local 533 SPRING 2021 Apprentice Notifications, it will be utilized to email everyone if schedule changes are made due to COVID and to announce weather-related class cancellations.
Blackboard has been down over the holidays for maintenance so this message is getting out late. Please be a good sister or brother and help get the word out to your fellow apprentices that school will be starting late.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Pipe Fitters Local 533 Business Office has been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case. This case was discovered this week (Dec. 21-25).
Therefore, the Officers and Staff will be quarantining and working remotely until Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.
Members who filled out questionnaires this week have been contacted. While the building will be locked during this time period the Business Manager and one designated staff member will be coming into the office periodically for mail and dues from drop slot.
We ask for your patience as we work through this situation with shortened staff.
Congratulation to retiring Training Center Coordinator, Marty Sanderholm. Thank you for your years of service and best wishes for a long, healthy and happy retirement.
