Whether you are an apprentice or journey-level member, WCC has a degree program to advance your career. With opportunities to earn college credits from your UA apprenticeship and instructor training, you’ll be on your way to a degree in no time.
As of August 2000 current United Association (UA) apprentices who complete their apprenticeship can earn up to 32 college credits for their experience with WCC. UA members can use this credit to earn an Associate Degree in Construction Supervision, Industrial Training, or Journeyperson General Studies from WCC.
Members wishing to receive the college credit award for apprenticeship completion should complete the apprenticeship credit request form in coordination with Local 533 Training Center. The form can be found here: www.wccnet.edu/apprenticeshipcredits
UA members who achieved journey status prior to August 2000 will need to pass the UA START exam in order to receive the 45 credits for their apprenticeship experience.
